Candiderma Plus Cream is a combined medication used for topical application in dermatology. Candiderma Plus Cream possesses anti-inflammatory, antiallergic, antipruritic, antifungal and antibacterial effects. It is used to reduce the inflammatory manifestations of dermatosis complicated by secondary infections caused by sensitive microorganisms and fungi: ringworm, candidiasis, multi-colored shingles, eczema, athlete's foot, pityriasis versicolor.

Candiderma Plus Cream is a combined preparation for use in dermatology. After application it exerts anti-inflammatory, antiallergic and antipruritic effects associated with beclomethasone, antifungal - with clotrimazole and antibacterial activity caused by neomycin.
Beclomethasone is a synthetic cortico hormone (SCS). It possesses a potent vasoconstrictive and anti-inflammatory effect. It is characterized by a rapid and prolonged anti-inflammatory action.
Clotrimazole possesses antifungal effect (inhibits the synthesis of ergosterol in the cell membrane of fungi). Clotrimazole is effective in the treatment of dermatomycosis such as Tinea redis, Tinea ciuris, Tinea corporis, caused by Trichophyton rubrum, Trichophyton mentagrophyles, Epidermophyton floccosum and Microsporum canis; candidiasis caused Sandida albicans; Tinea versicolar (pityriasis stripping), caused by Malassezia furtur (Pitysporum obiculare).
Neomycin is broad-spectrum antibiotic that belongs to aminoglycoside group of antibiotics. It exerts bactericidal effect and is highly effective in local treatment of primary and secondary bacterial infections of the skin. It is effective against susceptible strains of Streptococcus spp. (Strains of beta-and alpha-hemolytic streptococcus group A), Staphylococcus aureus (coagulase positive and coagulase-negative, and some strains producing penicillinase) and Gram-negative bacteria: Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Aerobacter aerogenes, Escherichia coli, Proteus vulgaris, Klebsiella pneumoniae .
Candiderma Plus Cream 15g is used to reduce the inflammation associated with different types of dermatosis, complicated by secondary infection caused by microorganisms and fungi that are sensitive to the ingredients:
Mode of application
Candiderma Plus Cream 15g can be used for the treatment of adults and children over 2 years of age. A thin layer of cream is applied on the damaged area 2 times daily - morning and evening. Duration of treatment depends on the clinical picture, severity of the disease.

Systemic absorption of cortical hormones including and bethametasone and local application of neomycin would be higher if the treatment will be carried out on the large surfaces of the body or if the occlusive dressings are used.
Any side effects occurring common for systemic glucocorticoids such as suppression of adrenal cortex function may also occur and in local application of glucocorticoid hormones, especially in children. Prolonged local use of antibiotics sometimes can lead to overgrowth of resistant microflora. Do not apply Candiderma Plus Cream cream on the open wounds and burns. It is not recommended to use Candiderma Plus Cream for the treatment of "diaper" dermatitis Cancellation of Candiderma Plus Cream therapy should be carried gradually. Candiderma Plus Cream is not intended for ophthalmologic application.
Application during pregnancy and lactation:
Safety of topical cortical hormones in pregnant women has not been studied. Thus, the use of Candiderma Plus Cream during pregnancy should be avoided. The medication can be applied only in case when benefits to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus. Candiderma Plus Cream cream should not be used during breastfeeding.
Possible Candiderma Plus Cream side effects include: itching, irritation, burning sensation, dryness, rash, exudative erythema, urticaria, local edema, folliculitis, hypertrichosis, skin rash (hormone acne), hypopigmentation, perioral dermatitis, allergic contact dermatitis, paresthesia. If occlusive bandage is used there may be: maceration of the skin, secondary infection, skin atrophy, striae, miliaria
