International name: Raloxifene
Generic Evista is which made by Cipla and comes under the name Ralista. It is believed that generic Evista (Ralista) works the same as brand medicine. Raloxifene belongs to a group of medicines called Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulators. It acts as an agonist on tissues not associated with reproduction, and as an antagonist on reproductive tissue. Generic Evista exerts its therapeutic action via binding with estrogen receptor and regulation gene expression.
Generic Evista reduces the process of resorption of bone tissue and normalizes the balance of calcium in the body, primarily by reducing the loss of calcium with the urine.
Raloxifene does cause endometrium proliferation, does not increase the size of the uterus. Bleeding or bleeding in the menopause are not common while the treatment with Raloxifene. How generic Evista (Ralista) is taken?
The medication is prescribed only by a doctor and treatment with Raloxifene (Ralista) should be carried only under your doctor supervision. In most cases the recommended dose is 60mg once daily. It is important to get enough calcium and Vitamin D while the treatment with Ralista. You need to get not less than 1500mg calcium daily, and 400-800 IU of vitamin D. You can take the medication with or without food. Tablets must be taken whole swallowing with a glass of water. Tablets must not be chewed or crashed. It is preferably to take Ralista tablets at the same time each day.
