Zyrtec dosage regimen is usually based on age, concomitant therapy and other medicines taking. Usually the recommended daily dose for adults and children over 6 years of age is 10 mg daily. In patients with liver and kidney disease the daily dose should be lowered.

Generic Zyrtec is a pregnancy category B meaning that it is probably safe to take the medication during pregnancy.
